Tonight I’m off to my first ever stich’n’bitch group. I’ve baked some cupcakes to take along and introduce myself to the group.

I’ve wanted to go to one of these social crafting groups for yonks, but never worked out how to find a good one. Then, thanks to a comment I left on a friend’s Instagram I was invited to join one that’s in our area. Yay!

I’ve been a long-time YouTube crochet student, but I need some face-to-face time to pick up some of the nitty gritty’s with the crochet hook. Even tonight I discovered I’ve been doing the single stitch incorrectly. Good work, rah!

Dan’s not quite sure what to expect. He thinks I’m going to start making outfits like this

Retro crochet chic

And decorating the house with these

When really I’ll just be happy with being able to make something as remotely awesome as Sarah London.

Got any tips for a crochet newbie?
