Hurrah! Enmore’s Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre is open again!

I haven’t swum laps in YEARS… as in, the last time I did laps was when I was about 12 when my sister would take me to Roselands indoor pool.

And she’d let me eat Mentos on the way home.

I never went to the old Enmore pool, but made an appearance last week.

It’s noice! There’s a kiddy pool (complete with awesome fountain-y things), warm water pool for rehab and the 50m pool.

They have a creche ($3.50/hr), learn to swim programs, squads, aquaerobics and a cafe (but the cafe wasn’t open when I was there)

Here’s the main pool (click to embiggen):

And yes, I even took a photo of the change rooms. Hey, no one was in the change room at the time ;)

Entry to the pool is $6 but $108 for a 20-visit pass.

The gym doesn’t open until around Australia Day 2011. But I think the “centre membership”  is where the bargain’s at if you’re planning on exercising a fair bit: it’s $18.75/wk which gives you access to EVERYTHING in the entire joint… pool, aquaerobics, gym, fitness classes and regular fitness assessment with a personal trainer in the gym.

AND! If you sign up for the centre membership before Australia Day (when the gym opens) then they’ll waive the $100 sign-up fee. Sweet!
