The words in my head are a bit muddled up. Lots of words I try to spew out through my keyboard. Words I think sound great when I’m thinking about them while I’m driving home from work, while I’m taking the recycling out, while I’m cleaning the cat’s litter tray.

Words that, when I finally sit at my desktop, laptop or iPad*, are too messy to type out. Butna he word ae rocming otu alfso gunfdy.

Maybe it’s because I’m becoming old and senile. Maybe it’s because I have blogger’s block. Maybe it’s because I’ve changed my job, changed my working hours and I feel a bit like I have workplace jetlag.

Maybe I’m spending my energy thinking I need to just still the hell down and get smarter posts back on rotation.

Maybe I’ll get my words mojo back before I lose my  motivation.

  2. Sometimes it’s only about quieting the inner critic and just writing. I almost quit blogging after 3 years just because I was creating so much pressure. It’s your blog write whatever you feel like or don’t just let it be ;)
Just found your space and I hope to see more of your posts

  5. Noticed that your blogging was becoming a bit sparse…I find writing so much easier when I’m on holidays. Unfortunately life isn’t a holiday for me so I usually write on weekends when I have some spare headspace. Jotting down ideas into a notepad helps. YES. I’m talking about the ole’ pen’n’paper.

  6. I know what you mean Spunky. I get like that too… in fact I feel a bit like that at present, I find it far easier to ‘read’ blogs, than write my own right now.
And a side note… I have just finished baking my first ever rainbow layer cake… and for the first time I actually took a long look at your blog header, haha! Mine has 6 colours, which is a bit mental, the damn thing is SO tall and SO heavy! Let’s hope the cross section looks ok when we slice it open ;)
